THE INCOME TAX ACT
(Cap.470)

EXEMPTION

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 13 (2) of the Income Tax Act, the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury directs that management or professional fees payable to non-resident persons in connection with any National Government security issued outside Kenya, by the Republic of Kenya under the Public Finance Management Act shall be exempt from tax.

Legal Notice No. 55 of 2014 is revoked.

THE KENYA UNION OF SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION TEACHERS (DEDUCTION OF UNION DUES), ORDER, 2014

1.  This Order may be cited as the Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers (Deduction of Union Dues) Order, 2014.

2.  An employer who employs not less than five members of Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers shall –

(a) deduct, on a monthly basis, the sum specified in the Schedule in respect of trade union dues, from the wages of an employee who has subscribed to be a member of the trade union;

(b) pay, within ten days of the date of deduction, the total sum deducted under the Schedule by crossed cheque made payable to the Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers  Account No. 01100188772600  at Co-operative Bank, Haile Selassie Branch, Nairobi;

(c) notify Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers, in writing within one month of all payments together with a full Schedule of the paid up members; and

(d) make written returns to the Registrar of Trade Unions at P. O. Box 47606, Nairobi within one month of making all the payments to Kenya Union of Special Needs Education Teachers.

SCHEDULE

A sum of Kenya shillings two hundred per month as trade union dues.

1.  This Order may be cited as the Public Transport Operators Union (Deduction of Union Dues) Order, 2014.

2.  An employer who employs not less than five members of Public Transport Operators Union shall –

(a) deduct, on a monthly basis, the sum specified in the Schedule in respect of trade union dues, from the wages of an employee who has subscribed to be a member of the trade union;

(b) pay, within ten days of the date of deduction, the total sum deducted under the Schedule by crossed cheque made payable to the Public Transporters Operators Union’s Account No. 1141324393  at Kenya Commercial Bank, Moi Avenue Branch, Nairobi;

(c) notify Public Transport Operators Workers Union in writing within one month of all payments together with a full Schedule of the paid up members; and

THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2014

Citation.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Commission (Amendment) Regulations, 2014.

2. Regulation 9 of the Public Service Regulations, 2005, in these Regulations referred to as the "principal Regulations", is amended in paragraph (1) (a) by deleting the expression "Job Groups "A" to "L"" and substituting therefor the expression "Job Groups "A" to "P"".

3. Regulation 15 of the principal Regulations is amended in paragraph (1) by deleting the expression “Job Group "M" and substituting therefor the expression "Job Group "Q"".

4. Regulation 15 of the principal Regulations is amended in paragraph (2) by deleting the expression “Job Group "M" and substituting therefor the expression "Job Group "Q"".

5. Regulation 33 of the principal Regulations is amended in paragraph (10) by deleting the expression "Job Group 'M' or above" and substituting therefor the expression "Job Group "Q" or above",

6. Regulation 34 of the principal Regulations is amended in paragraph (6) by deleting the expression "Job Group "L" or below" and substituting therefor the expression "Job Group "P" or below".

7. Regulation 35 of the principal Regulations is amended in paragraph (7) by deleting the expression "Job Group "L" or below" and substituting therefor the expression "Job Group "P" or below".
