REVOCATION OF PROSPECTING LICENCES

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 22 and 23 of the Mining Act, the Minister for Environment and Mineral Resources revokes the following licenses having expired and/or contravened condition number ten (10) which requires license holders to:

(a)
Submit to the Commissioner quarterly in triplicate, detailed progress reports on prospecting and exploration accompanied by adequate plans drawn to scale showing the positions of all excavations and drill holes made and/or all samples taken.

(b)
Submit to the Commissioner with every report referred to in sub-paragraph (a) of this condition, detailed expenditure statements of funds relating to the quarter that have been used in carrying out the work reported on and in implementing the work programme.

The Proponent (Greenhills Investment Limited) of the proposed project is proposing to put up a six (6) storey hotel facility comprising 200 rooms, a conference centrer, some additional retail outlets, parking silo and other commercial support facilities at Gigiri, Nairobi County.
