SUBJECT : SENSITIZATION OF COURT USERS COMMITTEE (CUC) MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC OF THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT RULES, 2019 AND THE CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ADJUDICATORS

KINDLY TAKE NOTE That In exercise of its mandate as conferred under Section 81 of the Civil Procedure Act, cap 21, Laws of Kenya, the Judiciary Rules Committee would like to conduct a sensitization exercise on the now gazetted Small Claims Court Rules, 2019 and Code of conduct for adjudicators at the Eldoret Law -Courts on Tuesday the 3rd day of December, 2019 starting at 9.00am.

The aim will be to enable stakeholders familiarize themselves with the documents which will operationalize the small claims Courts in due course.

You are therefore invited to attend the sensitization exercise in promoting enhanced access to justice.

Your attendance will be highly appreciated.

SUBJECT: CHANGES IN COURT SITTINGS

TAKE NOTE THAT with effect from 1.11.2019 Court No. 5 presided over by Hon. Christine Menya - Senior Resident Magistrate will conduct its sittings at the Chief Magistrate Court Premises (formerly Court No.8) whereas Court No.8 presided over by Hon. Rosemary Onkoba — Resident Magistrate will conduct its sittings at the High Court Premises (formerly Court No.5). Each magistrate will continue with her matters from where she is located.

Any inconveniences caused is regretted.
