The Kenya Law Mobile App is unveiled at the Samsung’s Apps Show ‘N’ Tell Event held at Strathmore University

Kenya Law had a chance to showcase its new mobile application on 18th February 2014, during the Apps Show ‘N’ Tell event organized by Samsung Electronics EA held at iLab Africa.

The Kenya Law mobile app v 1.0 contains the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, Selected Statutes of high public interest, Case Search (which is integrated with Kenya Law’s Case law database) and Cause List (also integrated with the Cause List section of Kenya Law’s website, www.kenyalaw.org)

The mobile app was borne out of collaboration between Kenya Law, Samsung Electronics EA and Strathmore University’s iLab Africa.

The Head of I.C.T at Kenya Law, Martin Andago reported that its development came from the notion that everyone needs access to the laws of Kenya wherever they are, be it on the road, in court or in hospital.

Robert Ngeru, the Chief Operating Officer of Samsung Electronic East Africa also lauded the partnership between Kenya Law, Samsung Electronics EA and iLab Africa saying that such partnerships offer a way for organizations to tap in to Kenya’s fast growing smart phone space by providing applications that are both relevant to the smart phone users and also enhancing convenience and productivity.

The Kenya Law mobile app is available in the Samsung Apps store here.
