Kenya Law Showcases at the International Justice Symposium, Nairobi.

By Emily Nakhungu.

Kenya Law was among other international legal institutions that participated at the International Justice Symposium.  Kenya Law’s mission at the symposium was to promote awareness of the legal information hosted on www.kenyalaw.org and the various Kenya law reports publications.    Kenya Law believes that public legal information is part of the common heritage of humanity and maximizing access to this information promotes Justice and the Rule of Law.

Organized by the Wayamo Foundation, Germany, the symposium ran under the theme “Justice for International and Transnational Organized Crimes” and brought together dignitaries from Kenya Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Gambia and Germany. The event was held on 27th February 2018 at the Strathmore School of Business, Nairobi.

Mohamed Chande Othman, former Chief Justice of Tanzania and Justice Isaac Lenaola, Justice of the Supreme Court of Kenya and Principal Judge at the East African Court of Justice were among the invited guests.

Dignitaries appreciated the work done by Kenya Law, especially the website which was cited as a key resource in legal research.
