Judiciary Committee on Elections (JCE)

The Judiciary Committee on Elections (JCE) was launched in August 2015, as a standing committee to provide a sustainable mechanism to assist the Judiciary continuously prepare for and discharge its mandate on election dispute resolutions. In preparation for the upcoming 2017 elections, the JCE has reviewed the Elections (Parliamentary and County Elections) Petition Rules, 2013 and Supreme Court (Presidential Election Petition) Rules, 2013.
This is a call to members of the public and all stakeholders to send in comments and views that will assist in the said amendment. The comments should clearly identify the specific Rule and the Section that needs to be amended and the suggested amendment. Comments and feedback on the rules should be sent via email to: judcommittee.elections@gmail.com by close of business Friday, 7th April, 2017.
