Court of Appeal (Election Petition) Rules, 2017

The Judiciary Committee on Elections (JCE) was launched in August 2015 as a standing committee to provide a sustainable mechanism to assist the Judiciary to continuously prepare for and discharge its mandate on election disputes resolution.

Further to the public participation held on 1st April, 2017, on the Elections (Parliamentary and County Elections) Petition Rules, 2013 and Supreme Court (Presidential Election Petition) Rules, 2013,  the JCE has since developed the Court of Appeal (Election Petition) Rules, 2017.

This is a call to members of the public and all stakeholders to send in comments and views.  The comments should clearly identify the specific Rule that needs to be amended and the suggested amendment. Comments and feedback on the Rules should be sent via email to: judcommittee.elections@gmail.com on or before Wednesday, 14th June, 2017.
